Location

The Granary is located in the beautiful Quanteraine valley in St Pierre du Bois, a sleepy hamlet hidden down narrow country lanes.  (Click here to download directions as a PDF)

Most of the valley is owned by The Societe Guernesiaise or the Guernsey National Trust and maintained as a nature reserve  (The Silbe reserve).  Immediately opposite us is the National Trust's Moulin De Quanteraine, a restored water wheel, part of a property dating back nearly 500 years and a few minutes walk away are some of the best wild orchid fields in Britain.

The beach is a 12 minute walk  through quiet lanes whilst a few minutes further will take you to the Fort Grey shipwreck museum, and the cafe at the Pearl Centre.

St Peters "village" is a few minutes  drive away.  Here you will find a small supermarket, wine store, the Longfrie Inn (bar & pubgrub), doctors surgery, pharmacy, post office and church.

The Imperial hotel (bar, pubgrub, and restaurant) and Taste of India (exellent Indian restaurant)  are both on the coast within a 20-25 minute walk or short drive.

The Gallery below shows nearby scenes - all a short walk from The Granary.
